Expired codes are the biggest frustration in couponing. CouponCare is built to keep them off the page. Here is exactly how our verification process works.

Offers Come From Official Retailer Feeds

Every offer on CouponCare originates from the official affiliate feeds that retailers publish through their affiliate programs. These are the same data sources retailers use to distribute their current promotions to approved partners. Each feed includes the code, the discount terms, and the start and end dates set by the retailer itself.

We do not accept user submitted codes. Community sourced coupons are a common reason other listings go stale or were never valid in the first place, so we leave them out entirely.

Daily Rechecks, Automatic Removal

Retailer feeds are rechecked continuously every day. When a promotion ends or a retailer pulls a code, our system removes the offer from CouponCare automatically, typically within one day of the change. Dead offers do not linger on the page waiting for someone to report them.

If you ever find a code that fails at checkout, email us at [email protected] with the store name and the code. We will recheck it against the feed and take it down if it has expired.

What the Usage Counter Means

Each offer displays a “Used X times” counter. That number counts real clicks on the “Show Coupon Code” button on this site. It is not an estimate and not a number we invent. A high count tells you that many shoppers recently chose that offer, which is a useful signal when several codes are available for the same store.

Why This Matters

Sourcing offers from official feeds, rechecking them daily, and removing expired codes automatically means the listings you see reflect what retailers are actually offering right now. It is a simple pipeline, and it is the reason codes from CouponCare are far more likely to work when you paste them at checkout.
